I had so much fun shooting the flowers at the arboretum in Golden Gate
Park last week that I went back this past weekend to shoot the flowers again. The arboretum is very large and so
we did not cover the whole park first time around. This time we went to the other parts of the arboretum we missed
the first time.
The weather was not as nice as the first time for flower photography. It was sunny and clear skies which produced
rather contrasty lighting and less saturated colors on the flowers. It was also quite windy and hence made it a lot
harder
to shoot
the flowers;
I needed to patiently wait till the wind died down.
Below are some of the images from Saturday. Most of these images required quite a bit of contrast adjustment to
bring out the colors. Overcast skies is definitely better for shooting colorful flowers. |
