Bow and Arrow in San Francisco

June 14, 2003 — Saturday, I visited the new Rincon Park with a friend for some photo opportunities. Rincon Park is a new park built and paid for by Gap, Inc. at the waterfront in front of Gap's new HQ. It is a beautiful park to spend the day on a sunny day. At the heart of the park is over two stories high fiberglass sculpture of a bow and an arrow called the "Cupid's Span". The sculpture is a gift to the city of San Francisco by Don and Doris Fisher of Gap and were created by the artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen.
