Riding The Range FAshion Show

On October 24, 2002, The Lola Gallery, as part of its "Riding The Range" exhibition, presented a fashion show which showcased Western influenced designs by the local San Francisco designers. The "Riding The Range" is an exhibition of Western art and the American cowboy. It showcases the work of over 25 artists in a diverse range of media, including fine art, photography, furniture, music, and short film. The exhibition runs from September 28 through November 30, 2002.

It was a very lively event and packed with guests by the end of the night. Models, already dressed in their outfits, were mingling with the crowd and posing for photo ops while the DJ played western oldies to which some started singing along. It was a fun event and a successful one for Claire McGovern of Lola Gallery.

Featured Designers:

DJ Neel N. Kizmiaz provided the old memorable western music and hillbilly funk.

Gennifer M. Hirano performed the "Welcome to Asian Princess Ranch", a wonderfully funny burlesque country western karaoke.

And to top off the show, Nina performed a risque rodeo girl.
